READY TO WEAR

This collection illustrates the gray area between business and leisure in which Chiara Tabalno cultivated garments that would tend to comfort first above all and any occasions at hand. Tabalno expresses she found a dwelling place in linen when it came to identifying solace. Linen is lightweight yet there are subtleties of texture to mimic a garment that has been worn in. This serves as a notion to encourage women to find intention in how and why we get dressed for the day because comfort is found within.

With deep contemplation and precision, knife pleats were a signature design on each garment presented in different variations. Some more outwardly recognizable and others almost hidden, the purpose behind this was to demand for a moment of debriefing towards the garment eliminating the urge to “throw it on”.

In the midst of life’s complexities, simplicity and structure is an anchor for many. The stripes provide a rather optical structure making it a versatile choice that can adapt to numerous styles and eras. Effortlessly timeless, the muted colors further affirm a garment with a classic style may also hold elegance.
